oh man i love this! We have spent the last 5 weeks eating pretty much white bread (called pan frances by the Guatemalans), rice and beans with our host family and we can really relate!

i just enjoyed the humour of it. i know i'm a long way off from developing a "cookie belly". but that does sound like a challenge...

I'm in an even worse position. Everything here is carbs (fufu, rice, bread) that's all I eat AND it isn't sweater season. AND no Christmas cookies. Thank goodness I will have plenty of sweaters and leftover cookies when I get home. Hope you have a great trip to SF!
