go kirsten!

As I write this, there is 1 day, 13 hours and 30 ish minutes until the start of the Calgary marathon and half-marathon. I happen to know at least two people running it. So go on over and wish Kirsten good luck. It is her first half-marathon and she has been working really hard. Oh yeah, and she had a baby NINE MONTHS AGO! Oh and one more thing, he was her THIRD. Yeah, that's right, she stays home to wrangle her three kids (who are 4, 2 and 9 months) and still has the energy to train for a half marathon. I have been in the same room with my niece and two nephews and those kids of hers have a lot of energy- I would have a hard time just getting out of bed.

Oh, and her husband works full time (and some strange hours sometimes), doesn't like running, but is going to be running right along beside her in case she needs a little extra motivation. Who does that? Chris...that's who.

On Sunday I will be hoping for cloud cover, reasonable temperatures, well-stocked water stations, light feet, clear heads, pain-free knees, no blisters, and happy Lobbsters. We are proud of you both! Go get 'em- and run like you stole something.

As I read that, of course I got teary. You are such a good sister-in-law and I truly appreciate all the support you and Jordan have given us. I'm not sure thanks is enough for all the encouragement, especially over the last couple of months. We love you guys! And thank you, thank you, thank you again and again.
